Launch the new rewards programme to a global market.

Starbucks® Rewards usually appeals to frequent customers. However, most find it slow to earn rewards, forget to use the app, or are often confused by the earn rates in some markets.

 

While our brilliant strategy and data team brewed up a smarter earning system, we crafted a campaign to serve up the good news – now you can earn rewards faster, redeem across the menu, and sip on even more perks as a Gold member. All with one simple proposition…

We developed a robust campaign toolkit covering every stage, from pre-launch to rollout. Deliverables included emails, app content, in-store billboards, web assets, a comprehensive messaging matrix for all variants and markets, plus design guidelines. Local markets could then run with the existing creative or adapt them as needed.

 

We knew we’d nailed it when the UK market—famously particular—was encouraged by Starbucks’ new VP of Marketing to stick as closely to our creative as possible. Oh, and did we mention we had to scrap a shoot due to budget changes, rethink the whole campaign a month before launch, and strengthened our client relationship in the process?

Not to brag, but we might have saved a job or two.
